Why the field of SEO is not much popular in Pakistan, How we can capture the share of outsource and freelance projects related to SEO in Pakistan. Indian Freelancer are more active and getting lot of SEO outsource projects.
Any Idea to compete it?

I have checked and noticed that most of the indian people into the SEO biz usually do hardcore blackhat SEO. But that's not what I am recommending. The real way to capture the audience you want is to convince and impress them with your skills, in whatever way you assume to be right. Some people get away doing blackhat SEO, but any smart client will be able to detect that. (so stay away from that)

Apart from that, again it all comes down to persuasion power. You really need to show them what you can do, pursuading them with words and actions. This is easier said than done, but that really is the starting point. To compete with the indians, you will have to examine their tactics and sometimes use it against them. Explain to your clients what you do is better in long-term.

Practically, few pointers:

  • Have a portfolio with concrete proof of what you have achieved (hint: keyword targeting after the right keyword research is really convincing).
  • Write a blog with SEO entries and try to get some nice audience. (let them know you're an expert)
  • Analyze the market for your clients and recommend the keywords they can get good results from, instead of leaving that part of work to them. It makes things easier both for you and the clients.
  • Do both on-page, and off-page optimizations.

RE: SEO and Pakistan

Every one is taking their share, Russians, Indians etc. So no need to compete with them make others feel your presence. Indians and Russians are far more sophisticated then an average Pakistani freelancer thats why we are behind.
Improve your technical and communication skills and you will be doing well.
